Porter" lower right, in molded and gilded frame with scroll motif, wear consistent with age, past repairs including two small patches verso, minor craquelure, waving of canvas and slight stretcher impressions, ss: 11 1/2" h. x 9 1/2" w. [PROVENANCE: Originally owned by William Henry Prescott (b. 1840 - d. 1908) and wife Celia E. Keeny (b. 1842 - d. 1921) of Rockville, CT and inherited by their granddaughter Georgiana Lincoln Prescott (b. 1909 - d. 2009) also of Rockville, CT, later passed to Georgiana's nephew and his wife, Francis Prescott and Carolyn Mullane.]
