CORNING, N.Y. — Framed in by the white snow, the picturesque holiday scene always seems to explode with the bright colors offered by the spirit of the season: the lights, the fire, the decorations and, of course, the ornaments. The Corning Museum of Glass surveyed the origins of the glass ornament, tracing its roots back to Lauscha, Germany and detailing its journey onto Christmas trees around the world. The December 8 lecture touched upon the history of production as well as a demonstration in the museum’s studio. For more information, www.cmog.org.
