Questions concerning the future of The American Antiques Show, a major fundraiser for the American Folk Art Museum, have been circulating through the antique world for a little over a week. Some say the show will be closing forever, others say it will be sold and run under new management, while still others say that the museum will remain a part of the show, but only for the preview.
The museum says yes, there is an ongoing discussion about the future of the show and that no definite conclusion has been reached. A spokesperson for the museum indicated that at this time the museum is not prepared to make any kind of statement, but that the situation should be resolved within three weeks.
Antiques and The Arts Weekly will provide the answer when it is known.
