PLAINFIELD, N.H. — Working hard at William Smith’s annual Labor Day auction, September 7, was a 66-inch tall pair of French bronze candelabras, signed E. Guillemin, 1872, with Orientalist figures, that attained $86,250.
Enjoying the fine offerings and fine weather, a standing room-only crowd watched as a strong assortment of European furniture, several early Meissen groups, Asian porcelains, fine estate jewelry and a 1934 Dodge sedan, ready to drive home, crossed the block.
A complete review of the auction will appear in a future edition.
