CINCINNATI, OHIO – Cincinnati Art Galleries, 222 East 6th Street, will open “Panorama XV of the Cincinnati School Painters,” on Saturday, December 2, with a reception from 10 am to 4 pm at the galleries.
This 15th annual show of Cincinnati School Artists includes major examples of work by Robert Blum, Frank Duveneck, Elizabeth Nourse, Edward Potthast, Thomas Worthington Whittredge, James Hopkins, Lewis Meakin, Charles Meurer, John Weis, Dixie Selden, William Teal, T.C. Lindsay, Bessie Wessel and Herman Wessel.
Of particular note are 80 Indian portraits and Western landscape paintings by Joseph Scheuerle, a Cincinnati artist who studied with Farny and painted with friends Joseph Sharp and Charles Russell. The show continues through December 30.
