CHICAGO — Curators at the Art Institute of Chicago walk through a selection of objects and the collecting spirit that brought them together in the museum’s new exhibition “Vanishing Beauty: Asian Jewelry and Ritual Objects from the Barbara and David Kipper Collection.” The overview features some of the 300 highlights from the Kipper’s collection and introduces visitors to the finely crafted and meaning-filled objects and the fast-disappearing cultures that produced them. The exhibition continues through August 21. For more information, www.artic.edu or 312-443-3600.
