Kay Puchstein and Jon Jenkins of Jenkins Show Management, co-managers of the long-running Music Valley Antiques Market, announced their new show set to debut during Antiques Week in Nashville in February. Antiques at Music Valley will feature about 140 of America’s premier antiques dealers in a big top setting. This new show will replace the Music Valley Antiques Market in the Nashville Market; however, its theme will continue to be early American antiques, Americana and folk art.
While Music Valley Antiques Market has been a long-running favorite of both dealers and customers, a third-party contractual conflict was raised that put the use of Gaylord’s Radisson Opryland in doubt, according to the show managers. “We felt the timing was perfect to make a new start,” said Jenkins.
Music Valley was conducted in a tent on several occasions in its history. The new show will feature several dramatic improvements, including heat, flooring and lighting. Jenkins added, “The tent will be an open environment with equal footing for all the dealers rather than the confinement experienced by many whose space was in a sleeping room or in the several scattered meeting rooms. We are confident that dealers will find this new venue to be a top notch facility and customers will enjoy shopping from their favorite dealers collections.”
“This show setup and access will also be much smoother for the customers and dealers, too,” said Puchstein, who together with her husband, Bill, is an exhibiting dealer at this and many other shows around the country. This show has been showing renewed strength in the antiques marketplace, with dealers coming to it from some other area shows.
Show dates are February 14‱6, in the Music Valley Village open area. Showgoers will be familiar with the location as it is adjacent to the Tailgate Antiques Show conducted at the Fiddlers Inn at the intersection of Briley Parkway and McGavock Pike.
The Music Valley Antiques Market, October 25′7, and the Tailgate Antiques Show at Fiddlers Inn, October 24′7, will be conducted at the same locations this fall.
