Rare Britains Set Marches to $35,200 at Bertoia’s
VINELAND, N.J. — Toy soldiers marched to the forefront of Bill and Jeanne Bertoia’s October Antique Toy Auction with a rare set of Britains bringing $35,200. The horseback mounted soldiers, set 39, retained the original box, consisted of 72 figures and had been consigned by Connecticut collector Dimitri Ilyinski.
Another rdf_Description to generate substantial interest was a Mikado mechanical bank selling at $45,000.
