SOUTHAMPTON, PENN. — The Mid-Summer Decorative Arts Auction at Stephenson’s Auction on July 28 was as described by its title, yet the top of its 333 lots came from the sale’s fine jewelry category. Selling from the fine jewelry category was a Rolex Cellini Prince 18K rose gold wristwatch with a black crocodile strap, for $8,320, including buyer’s premium ($6/10,000). The watch showed the “Geneva/Swiss Made” and “750” hallmarks, had a rear skeletal window and included all of its original boxing and literature. This style was created circa 2010 and showed only minor scratches on its case. More on this auction in an upcoming issue.
