Pilgrim century document box, John Moore Shop Tradition, Windsor, Connecticut, 1680 – 1710, oak and yellow pine, carved front panel with “Foliated Vine” design and clear vertical scribe lines, likely original painted finish in red to hinged lid and black to foot, interior with squared notch to for folding support (not present), wear consistent with age and use included six added screws to base, missing arm support, split to exterior rear edge molding, sides lightly refinished, lock and escutcheon old replacements, detailed gallery observations available upon request, 8 ½” h. x 26 ¾” w. x 15 ½” d.
