Possibly Jan de Baen (Haerlem, 1633 - Den Haag 1702), "Portrait of a Lady in a Parc", oil on canvas, sitter possibly wife of Burgermeister Groningen, depicts seated brunette woman in three quarter profile, classically depicted in red gown trimmed in ample lace and with jeweled brooch at bust, idyllic naturalized background with garden, columns and fountain, no signature viewed, in older carved wooden frame, reverse with dark patina and remnants of faded paper labels, wear consistent with age including toning, craquelure under heavy varnish, etc., ss: 16" h. x 12 1/2" w.
