Portraits of a Young Couple - Price Upon Request
A fine pair of portraits of a young couple seated in red chairs, attributed to George G. Hartwell (1815–-1901) of the Prior Hamblen School, oil on unusually large academy board, circa 1840. The sensitive coloring and decorative quality of these paintings are characteristic of the refines stylized work of George Hartwell. The sight size is 24 by 20 inches; 29¼ by 25¼ inches framed.
