New England Painted Six-Board Blanket Chest- Price Upon Request
Painted six-board blanket chest from New England, circa 1800–15, in paint-decorated pine. Condition: Original paint decoration, missing interior till and minor imperfections. The chest, having a molded lift top above bootjack ends is embellished with a wonderful shaped, valenced front skirt and is supported by cutout bracket feet. The mustard yellow and brown putty sponge decorated surface is in excellent condition, and the chest measures 25 inches high, 40 inches wide and 17¾ inches deep.
