A Pair of Bowback Windsor Side Chairs Attributed to Samuel Wing- Price Upon Request
A pair of painted and decorated bowback Windsor side chairs attributed to Samuel Wing (1774–1854) of Sandwich, Mass., circa 1800. The surface is early Nineteenth Century red and black graining with mustard yellow striping and free-hand decoration over an old putty green. The chairs have wonderful form with beautiful shaped seats and bulbous turned legs. The overall height is 36 inches, seat height 17½ inches.
