The “Mexican Mansion,” a superlative dollhouse, took everyone by surprise at Noel Barrett’s sale of the collection of the Washington Dolls’ House and Museum on June 19, when it sold for $231,000.
The dollhouse was made in about 1890 and was presumed to be a copy of a small European-style mansion in Puebla.
