PITTSFIELD, MASS. – More than 1,200 lots crossed the block February 15-17 at Fontaine’s, with gross sales exceeding $2.4 million.
The top lot was a highly carved Horner mahogany grandfather clock, standing 10 feet tall, with carved figures and nine-tube Westminster chime movement, selling at $106,400, a record according to the gallery.
A Tiffany 16-inch tulip lamp realized $64,400 and a Herter Brothers drop-front desk exceeded estimates at $39,200.
