KINGSTON, N.Y. — On Friday, January 24, at 4 pm, JMW Auction will sell approximately 400 lots from estates throughout the Hudson Valley to New York City. From a Times Square corporation that wishes to remain anonymous come more than 150 pieces of modern and designer furniture, from floors that were closed since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Included will be approximately 50 Steelcase and other high-end office and task chairs, a selection of Bernhardt chairs, work tables and stands. Other makers include Gus Modern, Knoll, HighTower, Gärsnäs, Haworth, Stylex, Camerich and more.

More artwork from the Hudson, N.Y., estate of collector Albert Burnette Roberts will include approximately 50 paintings, including Earl Swanigan, A. Maris, Edward Avedisian, Kevin Eugene Johnson illustrations, Lord Frederic Leighton, John Ernst, Tommy Beere, Bill Sullivan, William Howard Hart, de Kooning, Albert Nemethy, G. Rogers and a selection of unsigned and illegibly signed works from Nineteenth to the Twentieth Century.

Also included will be a selection of estate jewelry, Pyrex collection, sterling silver, art pottery, glassware collection, porcelains, Asian porcelains, including a charger collection and pairs of cast iron garden urns, slag glass panel lamps, firearms, stoneware, decorative accessories and much more.

The preview is Thursday, January 23, from noon-6 pm; the sale begins at 4 pm on Friday, January 24.
