Bronze with dark brown and verdigris patina
Height of figure from toe to top of head: 31 in. • Overall Height: 38 in. • This newly discovered large bronze version of Diana is one of just six known examples including those at the Brooklyn Museum, the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and Chesterwood.
Inscriptions: Incised (chiseled) on integral half-orb: “AUGUSTUS SAINT-GAUDENS”
Incised (chiseled) on integral square bronze plinth: “COPYRIGHT·BY·A·SAINT-GAUDENS·M·D·C·C·C·X·C·V.”
Provenance:
Frank Ewing, Wilmington, Delaware, Sold April 4, 1959 to Constantine Sclavos (1896-1985), Glasgow, Delaware,
to his daughter Mary S. Murphy (1925–2020) Elkton, Delaware; thence by descent.

“Israel Kinsman” Portrait of George Washington
Oil on canvas, 30 ½ x 25 ½ inches
Retains its original stretcher and gilt-wood frame
Purchased in 1817 by Israel Kinsman (1789–1862) of Philadelphia, who married Elizabeth Walker (1797–1848) on Oct 28, 1817.
The portrait is listed in the inventory of Israel Kinsman’s possessions in 1835 as “Stuart-Washington”.
(An unbroken chain of Provenance to the present day accompanies the portrait).
