SOUTH YARMOUTH, MASS. — The 33rd Annual Cape Cod Glass Show and sale will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday, September 18-19. Show hours are 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and noon to 4 pm Sunday.
Sponsored by the Cape Cod Glass Club, chapter of the National American Glass Club, organizers announced a new location for the show. It will now be located at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, 307 Old Main Street (use exit 75 — old exit 8 — on the Mid-Cape Highway). The center boasts attractive facilities and hosting service, free parking and handicapped services.
In addition to the show, there will be a free appraisal booth for customers and a members sale table. There will also be a fundraising raffle to benefit the glass club. Raffled will be an exquisite vase made by David McDermott and hand engraved by James Poore. There is also a discounted admission price, with card or ad, that will attract new and old customers to this longstanding event. Visit the Cape Cod Glass Glass Club’s web site, www.capecodglassclub.org for a downloadable discount card. Information is also available on FaceBook at “Friends of the Cape Cod Glass Show & Sale.”
The show will feature glass exhibitors of national reputation and glass collectors of many interests: early and collectible American blown; cut and pattern glass; antique and contemporary European glass; antique art glass and studio glass.
