Frederic remington (American, 1861-1909) “The Broncho Buster” Copyrighted in 1895 Cast Circa 1899 Est: $300,000 – 500,000
“The Broncho Buster” is Remington’s first sculpture. This example of “The Broncho Buster” is from the first group of castings and is number 58 from an edition of 64 casts produced at the Henry-Bonnard Bronze Company. Remington authorized Bonnard casts from 1895 to 1900, making this a limited and highly detailed run of sculptures. After this run, Remington began casting with Roman Bronze Works in 1901, who produced approximately 90 lifetime casts and a total number of approximately 340 authorized casts.
