Bruce Gollan Southworth, 71 a longtime resident of Lake Forest, died peacefully at home on September 28. He established Samlesbury Hall, Ltd in 1982, specializing in Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century English antiques that were displayed in a 7,000-square-foot-plus showroom filled with mahogany and rosewood furniture, as well as silver, porcelain, crystal, prints, mirrors, lamps, decorative gift items and traditional upholstered furniture.
Bruce Southworth was born October 10, 1940, in Chicago. Son of Louise Southworth Parker and the late George Minch Southworth, he is additionally survived by his wife of 43 years Mary Monek Southworth, his sisters Ann Southworth Davis and Susan Southworth Baldwin, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
