The Nassau County Police Department is investigating a petty larceny reported by the Raynham Hall Museum, an historic house museum owned and occupied by the Townsend family during the colonial and Victorian time periods.
The museum is missing a piece of earthenware, a Brown Brother’s crock. Bearing a Brown Brothers Huntington, L.I. stamp, the two-gallon crock measuring about 10 inches in diameter and 9 inches high is beige with blue slip decoration with the letters “C & H” and four semisymmetrical (two on top/two on bottom) flowers sprouting from one stem. There is a number “2” stamped on the front of the crock between the top two flowers.
Anyone having information about this item is asked to contact the Nassau County Police Department at 516-573-6253, referencing case report # 207CR0080822.
