NEW YORK CITY – The board of directors of the Appraisers Association of America elected Albert Sack as an honorary member in January in recognition of and appreciation for a lifetime’s contribution of scholarship, generosity and passion in the field of decorative arts. Sack’s role as colleague, teacher and friend was noted by the association.
As an international organization, the Appraisers Association of America acknowledged the seminal role played by Israel Sack, Inc, in developing an appreciation for the nation’s material culture, developing a marketplace and for its role in historic preservation as seen in the firm’s contributions in the White House and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the masterpiece objects of the nation’s heritage.
There will be a special ceremony to honor Sack at the Appraisers Association of America’s national conference in November.
