BELLOWS FALLS, VT. —Augusta Auctions’ Holiday Vintage Spectacular on December 10 was worthy of its name, presenting a selection of 250 haute couture, vintage and antique garments and textiles. The apotheosis of these was a 1930s Fortuny Delphos gown that sold for $18,750, including premium, more than doubling its $6/8,000 estimate. Its shimmering pleated silk was accented with Murano glass beads, and the original gold stenciled belt was intact. More on this and other top lots to follow.
