FALL RIVER, MASS. — Robert J. Daigle, age 61, of Fall River, died Wednesday, March 27, at St Anne’s Hospital, from the effects of cancer. He was the loving husband of Bette J. (Angier) Daigle.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of Lillian (Blanchette) and the late Henry J. Daigle. He was a 1969 graduate of Prevost High School and a graduate of Southern Methodist University. He was an antiques dealer for many years and did shows all along the East Coast and from Union, Maine, to Round Top, Texas.
At the shows Bob was always good for a story or two, about sales, people and how to sell antiques. He never had a bad word about anything, even a show that did not work.
His absence will be felt by many antiques shoppers, and friends as well as his family.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his two sisters, Anne Marie (St Pierre) Barboza of Fall River and Lynn Daigle of Westport, Mass.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services took place April 2 at the Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River, and at Holy Name Church, Hanover Street. Memorial gifts may be made to St Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or www.stjude.org.
