SALEM, MASS. — Richard “Rick” Sementa, Jr., 57, of Salem, Mass., and formerly of Vernon, Conn., passed away peacefully January 27 at Miriam Hospital in Providence, R.I. Born in Hartford, Conn., the son of Richard and Frances (Celino) Sementa of Vernon, Conn., Rick grew up and lived in Vernon before moving to Salem more than 30 years ago. He was a self employed antiques dealer for many years.
Rick enjoyed music and playing the drums. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Deborah Sementa of East Harwich, Mass.; his brother, Mark Sementa and his wife Kimberly of Hebron, Conn.; a niece and three nephews, Maxwell, Elizabeth, Jonathan and James, and his longtime companion and friend, Angelo Masaracchio of Salem.
