With so many important items being offered, it is hard to know where to begin. Saturday will feature artwork by an impressive list of artists including: Eugenio Landesio, William Coulter , Percy Sanborn, Joseph Henry Sharp, Eugene Boudin and William Stubbs plus sculpture by Auguste Rodin and Etienne-
Maurice Falconet. Early silver and jewelry will include a 17th c. jewel encrusted tiara and an 18th c. silver porringer by Thomas Edwards. This day will also showcase very important ephemera, including a 1775 Massachusetts Provincial Congress Appointment, John Hancock and Aaron Burr signatures, 1782 Robert Livingston letters and historically important Native American documents. Of unique in-terest is a handwritten genealogy of the Baskerville family going back to the 9th century. Also included are (6) Civil War telegrams, and original records of the Appomattox surrender and the assassination of President Lincoln. Antique furniture will feature a Massachusetts Chippendale Blockfront chest, and a diminutive Hepplewhite Pembroke table. Eighty eight lots offine oriental jade, cloisonné, porcelain and bronze plus floor screens, scrolls andsnuff bottles will be brought to the podium along with one of the finest selectionsof antique carpets including Bidjar, Hamadan, Sarouk, and Isfahan, 47 in all.
Collections of Delft pottery, tea caddies, Pre-Columbian pottery and ship dioramas will be offered, along with ship models, early firearms and cast iron toys.
Native American pottery, baskets and artifacts take center stage on Sunday, with more than 100 lots to choose from. Artists include Juan Quezada, Maria Martinez, Fannie Nampeyo, Hubert Candelario, Vidal Aguilar, Helen Shupla, Linda Sanchez and many more. Twentieth century art includes works by
Andrew Wyeth,Yozo Hamaguchi, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, and Norman Rockwell, plus a rare album of A.C. Vroman platinum prints and sculptures by Malvina Hoffman, Frederick Goldscheider and William Muir. Exquisite estate jewelry includes a platinum, sapphire, and diamond necklace, a 4.0 carat diamond engagement ring, a gold, enamel, diamond and ruby snake bracelet, natural pearls, plus more than 70 other stunning pieces. Over 40 lots of silver and gold include flatware by Gorham and Reed & Barton, a Cartier gold cigarette case, a 1920 Tiffany sterling compact, Russian enamel, 3 ster-ling tea services and much more. Also on this day you will find 19th and 20th c. furniture, period
clocks, lighting, musical instruments, and 60 lots of fine porcelain. All of these, plus 4 high perform-ance automobiles, 4 boats, a Cessna 310 airplane, and even a doghouse, in the shape of a guitar, auto-graphed by singer/songwriter Don Mclean.
